Control which notifications your employees will receive, and whether they're sent via email, SMS, Push notification or all three!
Settings > Employee Permissions > Edit > Notification Center
The Ento Notification Center lets you choose which actions and events should trigger a notification to staff or not, and if so, whether to send the notification via:
- Push notification to the app
- SMS and/or
- email.
Learn more about how Push Notifications work and compare the different Communication Methods.
Actions such as shift updates can be crucial last-minute changes that staff need an immediate update for, whereas Schedule Summaries may be sent weeks in advance and can be opened when they have time.
As the Notification Center options are set is within each Employee Permission profile, different groups of employees can have different combinations of notification settings, all dependent on your needs.
Navigate to Settings > Employee Permissions and click Edit for a specific profile to find the Notification Center tab and make changes.
Note that these settings depend on the Send to settings chosen on each employees profile page under Core HR > People > Employees. For example, this means that you'll need to turn on both SMS in the Notification Center and Send to Mobile in the employee profiles for SMS notifications to send. Similarly, if you choose to untoggle Notify staff when updating a published shift on a roster, it still won’t send any notification.
