Step 1: Create a Roster
Method 1: Create a roster from scratch
Is your Organisation brand new to Ento? Start by creating a roster from scratch.

Go to Rostering > Rosters, or click the Rosters shortcut on the Dashboard.

Click Create New at the top left hand side of the page.

Select Create New, on the right hand side.

Fill in the roster name, roster period and the areas the roster is for.

Click Create.
Method 2: Create a roster based on a previous rosters
Already have rosters in Ento that you want to use as a basis for your new roster? Create a new roster using 'based on' then tweak shifts and staff as needed.

Go to Rostering > Rosters, or click the Rosters shortcut on the Dashboard.

Click Create New at the top left hand side of the page.

Select Based On, on the left hand side.

In the Previous roster drop-down, select the previous roster you want to base your new roster on.

Review and adjust the Roster name, Roster period and the Area/s you want to roster for, as needed.

Click Create.
To supercharge your rostering efficiency, we recommend creating several 'roster templates' with shifts already populated, which can be used as a base roster anytime you need a new roster. Learn more.
Step 2: Create and assign shifts

Select either Role or Staff view, depending on your needs.

Double-click in a cell on the roster to open the shift input form.

Select from the Suggested shifts or enter the details in each field.

Click Save.
