Seeking consent from an employee to schedule them to work a shift outside their usual spread of hours is an easy 2 step process of:

Step 1: Select the shift

Go to Rosters

Find the roster you wish to work on and click View

In the roster builder, easily see which shifts are for staff members who have a fixed work schedule by looking for this icon 👇
If the shift hours are different to the employee's regular work schedule, the icon will be red.

Click on the shift you want to seek consent from the staff member to change.

If it’s not already open, display the shift info panel by clicking the shift details button on the top right of the roster.
Step 2: Fill out and send the Request Consent form

In the shift info panel, click Request consent

Select your Request Type, choosing one of:

Increase shift hours

Reduce shift hours
-
Move shift times
-

In the By up to drop-down, select the maximum number of hours by which you may want to alter the shift.

In the When drop down, select the relevant option.

Add a note, if you want to.

Click Preview Request

Review the request details. If you need to make changes, click Update request to return to the request consent form. When you're happy, click Send

Check the status of a consent request and next steps
Once you’ve sent a request for consent to regular scheduled hours, the status of the request is indicated on the shift, like this 👇
