Once enabled in your settings, Enterprise Work Schedules (EWS) allows you to easily create rosters that are pre-populated with shifts that reflect employees' fixed work schedules, in their primary location and role.

And that's it! 🙌 As long as you've enabled EWS in your account settings, your roster will be created with shifts auto-populated from work schedules.
Ento Tip: Shifts automatically created from work schedules are always assigned to the employee's primary role in the draft roster. Double click the shift to select a different role in the shift edit panel and save.
What about shifts for casuals or team members not on fixed work schedules?
Don't worry - we haven't forgotten about your casuals or other team members who don't have a regular pattern of work! Use based on previous roster to also bring in shifts for casuals from the previous roster you select.
To recap, when you create a roster based on a previous roster with the auto-create shifts checkbox selected, Ento will:
-
create shifts based on the previous roster for your staff that don't have EWS enabled in their Staff Permissions (likely for your casual workforce, for example) and
-
auto-create shifts from work schedules for Staff who do have EWS enabled in their Staff Permissions (likely your FT/PT workforce).
